Star Seeds planted!

This morning Starseed was finally a reality, and what a beautiful and nourishing reality it was! We began in the frosty air, cleaning and chopping in our new springside shelter (thanks to all for joining together two weeks ago to clear, prune, and re-energize) while the fire kindled -- and did not smoke thanks to Ms. Tiffany's ingenious "mortar" of a napkin stuffed in the chimney's crack! When the soup pot was placed on the fire, we ventured out into the sunshine and explored the newly cleared path which begins at the cottage. We swung on vines, climbed the bank to duck under a large nest of sticks which made for a perfect fort, foraged chickweed, and spent a luscious time in the long grasses under the golden trees and the very warm sunshine which begged us to shed our autumn layers and frolic like it was still summer -- hiding, somersaulting, crawling and roaring like tigers, snacking, singing, laughing and loving. We followed Ms. Tiffany's flute until we could see the smoke from the hearth calling us back for our soup. After, we washed up in the spring and then went back out into a sunny patch where we played ring-around-the-rosy and the troll and the billy goats until we collapsed onto the ground and Ms. Tiffany, serendipitously, did a puppet show for us of the three billy goats (well, one billy goat and two horses) and the troll. For me the hugest gift of today's many gifts was the unexpected chance to truly play -- with my son, with all the children, with my own inner child who has long been awaiting for just such an opportunity. Thank you Starseed, thank you sunshine, thank you tall grass and sweet spring water. Thank you Sacred Mountain.
