Starseed Nursery -- draft of program overview

It's already happening...  these photos are from Tuesday when Tiffany and I met on the land with Septimbor.  Spontaneously, Tiffany went with our four boys on a hunt for soup ingredients... apples, berries, stones, pine cones, flowers, and, of course, lots of mud were found and utilized in more ways than one!  One thing we'd like to add to the wish-list is a metal trough for rinsing off these happy, muddy earth creatures on warm days!

Nursery:

1. obsolete : attentive care : fosterage

Before the soup-making, the three of us adults added more ingredients to the Starseed pot.  We named the preschool/kindy program which will take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-12:45am.  The proper name for this program feels like "nursery," especially because of definitions 3 and 4 above.

This nursery program will be tended by two teachers (Tiffany and another) and will take place entirely in the open air in all weather, utilizing overhead canopies (trees, stick-built shelters, a yome without sides, etc.) for snack and storytime.  Children will be guided in the appropriate attire to be able to be comfortable in all weather (head-to-toe rainsuits, boots, woolen undergarmets, etc. -- we have many great all-outdoor preschool programs -- even in Scandinavia -- to inform us here).  

For this reason, I'd like include another word to our program name that signals this all-outdoor aspect of our program.  Please give your input!  "Starseed (Open Air/ Forest / Mountain/ other??) Nursery"

This program will follow the natural rhythms of the seasons as well as a Waldorf daily rhythm which includes the telling of nature stories, song, hot snack (made on a wood-burning stove with many ingredients gathered from the land), and much free play.  Miss Tiffany will bring in her special offering of an in-depth study of each child (beginning with one family) based on the elements of Human Design.  She also will foster for the children moments of deep listening, exploration and observation of the natural wonders of this sacred land.
